Obituary for Mr. Robert "Bob" Rodger

Robert “Bob” Rodger passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with his family by his side. Bob had been struggling with lung cancer for the last year and was unable to recover.

Bob was born on August 17, 1939 in St. Andrews, Scotland to Robert and Mary Rodger. He immigrated to Canada in 1967.

Surviving family members are his wife of 49 years Eloise; his son James of Oakville; daughter Kirsten (Ronnie) from Nova Scotia, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

He was very active in the construction industry and was a proud member of the Carpenters and Labourers Unions. He made many friends from travelling to Texas in the winter and was always up for travel. Neighbours and community members from Kakabeka Falls, Intola and Pass Lake were very special to him.

In honouring his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. A celebration of this life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.
