Obituary for Mrs. Cecile Noella Dupont

CECILE DUPONT
December 29, 1939 - January 11, 2021

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Cecile Dupont, age 81 years, announce her passing with her son and granddaughter at her side on January 11, 2021 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Cecile was born December 29, 1939 in Hearst, Ontario and remained in Northern Ontario her entire life, where she enjoyed many outdoor activities such as blueberry picking, fishing and camping. Later in life she enjoyed knitting, crocheting sweaters and blankets for her loved ones and touring around Thunder Bay on her electric scooter shopping for all things pink while encouraging the people she met along the way. She made delicious diabetic pork 'n' beans and blueberry pie. She will be remembered for her great sense of humour, the best hugs, her beautiful porcelain skin and her love of getting all dolled up whenever she went out. The thinking and praying you did for each one of us, sharing and giving, loving and teaching and the biggest hugs and much more when the moment arose. She embraced God’s love and encouragement for herself and she would share that love with friends and family.

And He has put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise unto our God.
Psalm 40:3

She will be deeply missed by her children, Real Carrey (Irene), Suzanne Kinnaird (Doug), Lillianne Scott (Wayne), Claudette Bougie and Alexander Carrey. She was a loving and caring Mother leaving us with many cherished memories. She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly; Louie Carrey, Gerard LeBlanc (Niki), Natalie Robillard (Gaby), Adelle Huard, Alexa Pucci (Joey), Richard, Jozelynn, Alexander, Maxwell, Maximus, Samuel, Kingston, Kylah, Mckenzie, and Joshua. Cecile also left behind several other relatives and special friends like Pauline who had a special place in her heart.

Cecile was predeceased by her sons, Gerard Carrey and Claude Carrey; parents Eteinne and Alexandra Morissette; brother Real Morrissette.

We give thanks to the staff and friends at PR Cook apartments where Cecile lived; and to Dr. Gillan for caring for our Mother and Grandmother; for the staff at St. Joseph’s Stroke and Rehabilitation and the staff at Thunder Bay Regional Health Centre for Cecile's care during her complicated journey. Her spirit was willing and many times her body was weak, God gave her strength in her weakness. We saw endurance, healing, wisdom and peace in our Mom and Grandma.

We love you and we miss you.
We thank God for you.

As per Cecile's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.

If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
